The dust has settled on the 33rd Annual Elliot Norton Awards presented by the Boston Theater Critics Association, emceed by yours truly at Boston’s SHUBERT THEATRE, followed by a lavish beer and Chinese food reception at the WANG! Nortie Prize Winner & Gold Dust Orphan impresario RYAN LANDRY made us cry. Guest of Honor “Orange is the new Black’s ‘Big Boo’ ” LEA DELARIA (with her Medford family and fiancee Chelsea Fairless in the audience) sang a jazz tune– then made us laugh and cry.
