Michael, a proud Louisiana boy, currently resides in New York City where he just appeared as The Geek in the Off-Broadway Revival of Side Show. Earlier this year he played Archibald Grosvenor in Patience with the Capital Gilbert & Sullivan Society in Washington DC. This past summer Michael portrayed Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance at the International Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in Buxton, England. He was also involved in the workshops for Stephen Schwartz’s first opera Séance on a Wet Afternoon, which ran at New York City Opera in April. Favorite past roles have included Lun Tha in The King & I, Brad Majors in The Rocky Horror Show, Rolf Gruber in The Sound of Music, and the title role in Candide (Scottish Opera Version). Michael has appeared with numerous orchestras and opera houses across the country including The New Orleans Opera, The New York Philharmonic, Opera Naples, and Opera Memphis. Michael also studied voice at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. He has toured Europe and the US with multiple stage productions, as well as chamber music groups. Michael appears in the Newport Classic Cast Recording and DVD of Carlisle Floyd’s Willie Stark. Next March Michael will return to Boston to play the role of Matt in The Fantasticks with the Fiddlehead Theatre Company.
