Wheelock Family Theatre is pleased to offer the followers of Joyce’s Choices a chance to win one of TWO Family-4 packs (4 tickets!) to see the Wheelock Family Theatre production of The Trumpet of the Swan on Friday November 20 at 7:30pm!

I saw the show and it’s SO much fun, so well-played, with a GREAT message about everyone having to find a way to be heard in this noisy world.

Can a brass horn be the key to love? Louis, a trumpeter swan, is different from his siblings, for unlike the other cygnets he was born without voice.  When Louis falls in love with the sweet swan, Serena, he is unable to woo her with his grand trumpeting call.  Louis’s father tries to help; seeking out and impulsively stealing a brass trumpet.  (This criminal act is unfortunate). Despite these conflicts, with great diligence and perseverance, Louis learns to play the stolen instrument and communicate his thoughts and feelings through the power of music.

“At its core, this play is a morality tale of the value of fighting to overcome adversity and perceived handicap.  It is a fun and inspirational show, and would make a great outing for any family.  I am happy to trumpet the news that this is a play well worth seeing.” –Al Chase, White Rhino Reports
